Qualified signature

Qualified signature

The qualified signature is characterised by the fact that it identifies the recipient and offers the highest level of security. The following describes how to proceed after receiving an invitation for a qualified signature.

Invitation

Step 1: You will receive an e-mail from us as soon as you are part of a signature or sealing process, called a workflow in SIGN8. In this email you will find general information about the workflow as well as a button and an alternative link that will take you to our website.

Step 2: Depending on the settings of your e-mail programme, the button in the e-mail may no longer work. In this case, click on ‘Alternative link to workflow’. You can also find your signature type in the email description.

Signing

Step 3: After clicking on the link, you will be taken to our page where you can sign the documents. You do not need an account for this. Simply confirm the terms and conditions and privacy policy and continue.

If the initiator of the workflow has specified a password, you must enter this when logging in.

Step 4: You will then be taken to an overview page where you can view all the information about the signature process. In the top line you will see the individual steps. Please check your personal information in particular.

Step 5: You can view the document on the next page. As soon as several documents are stored, a list will be displayed. In this case, you must have viewed each document once before you can continue. Check the documents as usual. Continue by clicking on the ‘Next’ button.

Identify

Step 6: If you are signing qualified for the first time and therefore do not yet have a certificate, you must first identify yourself. We have provided you with a range of possible identification methods. If you require detailed information on the identification procedure, please click on this link.

If you already have a valid certificate, this step will be skipped.

Under the button ‘More options’ you will find further identification options.

Step 7: After successful identification, you must enter a password and your mobile phone number. These are used so that you do not have to identify yourself again during another qualified signature process. Sign the documents by clicking on the ‘Sign now’ button.

Summary

Step 8: Finally, you receive all signed data within the workflow. We also provide you with an audit report containing information about the workflow.
