Advanced signature

Advanced signature

The advanced signature is characterised by the fact that it involves two-factor authentication of the recipient and offers the second-highest level of security. The following describes how to proceed after receiving an invitation for an advanced signature.

Invitation

Step 1: You will receive an email from us as soon as you are part of a signature or sealing process, called a workflow in SIGN8. In this email you will find general information about the workflow as well as a button and an alternative link that will take you to our website.

Step 2: Depending on the settings of your e-mail programme, the button in the e-mail may no longer work. In this case, click on ‘Alternative link to workflow’. You can also find your signature type in the email description.

Signing

Step 3 : After clicking on the link, you will be taken to our page where you can sign the documents. You do not need an account for this. Simply confirm the terms and conditions and privacy policy and continue:

If the initiator of the workflow has specified a password, you must enter this when logging in.

Step 4: You will then be taken to an overview page where you can view all the information about the signature process. In the top line you can see the individual steps. Please check your personal information in particular.

Step 5: You can reject the workflow at any time by clicking on the ‘Reject signing process’ button. The creator of the workflow will be informed accordingly.

If your personal information is correct, you can continue by clicking on the ‘Confirm contact details’ button.

Step 6: You can view the document on the next page. As soon as several documents are stored, a list will be displayed. In this case, you must have viewed each document once before you can continue. Check the documents as usual. Continue by clicking on the ‘Next’ button.

Authentication

Step 7: The advanced signature requires two-factor authentication. You must therefore select the desired method on the next page. For SMS, you will receive a token via SMS. With telephone you will receive a call where the token will be announced to you. Please check that your device has sufficient reception.

Step 8: Enter the token in the field. You have 5 minutes to do this. If you have not received an SMS, you can request a new token. Sign the documents by clicking on the ‘Sign now’ button.

Summary

Step 9: Finally, you receive all signed data within the workflow. We also provide you with an audit report containing information about the workflow.
